About the position

The Mid-level Linux System Administrator at Canfield Cyber Defense Group (CCG) is responsible for designing, supporting, and deploying Linux systems to enhance the technology infrastructure for various projects. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and involves working onsite in Rockville, MD. The administrator will engage in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and creating technical documentation while ensuring effective communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design systems to meet project requirements.
• Support existing systems and applications.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Implement remote access techniques.
• Build and deploy Linux systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• 5 years of experience in Linux system design.
• 5+ years of scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, and Python.
• 5 years of experience with Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience with networking, including host-based and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing services across the entire Linux stack.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to create technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
