About the position

As a Linux Systems Administrator for Cyber Systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team responsible for managing enterprise-class systems and specialized Linux operating systems. Your role will involve working with cross-domain solutions and boundary devices, ensuring that customer service standards are met while maintaining the security and integrity of the systems you manage. This position requires a strong understanding of Red Hat Linux command line administration and the ability to troubleshoot operating systems and associated hardware/software at a command level. You will also be responsible for applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and mitigating vulnerabilities as directed by Information Assurance (IA) based on scan findings and applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives. In addition to managing cross-domain enterprise-level solutions, you will be tasked with re-imaging workstations, servers, and databases, both physical and virtual. The role demands a detail-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A current and active TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire, and applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is also a prerequisite due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities. General Dynamics Mission Systems is committed to providing an exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. You will be engaged in research-oriented work alongside award-winning teams that are dedicated to developing practical solutions for our nation's security. The company offers competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flexible time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health and wellness programs, and employee resource and social groups.
