About the position

The Linux System Administrator role at ManTech involves providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, while managing the IT system infrastructure. This position is crucial for ensuring the reliability and performance of various systems, including client/server/storage/network devices, and requires a strong background in Linux systems and VMWare.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Assist in the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of additional related experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 7+ years of related experience in IT systems administration.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience with VMWare.
