About the position

Davidson Technologies is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join their team at The Missile Defense Agency's Advanced Research Center in Huntsville, AL. This full-time position involves supporting the System Administration Team in managing Linux systems within a testing environment, ensuring system reliability and performance through various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support simulated ground test infrastructure and reconfiguration
• Troubleshoot, resolve and document System Errors and Resolutions
• Installation or rebuilding of existing servers
• Applying DISA STIGs
• Installing OS and application patches
• Troubleshooting OS and resolving hardware/software problems

Requirements

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems
• Experience in system administration
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with DISA STIGs
• Experience with server installation and configuration
• Knowledge of hardware/software problem resolution
