About the position

The Linux System Administrator at netPolarity, Inc. is responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of various Linux systems, including Redhat and SUSE. This role requires extensive experience in system administration, server builds, and troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and administer Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux, AIX, and Cent OS systems.
  • Perform system builds, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Administer LDAP and DNS servers as part of system management.
  • Provide hardware support and maintain networking concepts.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in System Administration with a focus on Linux systems.
  • Proficient in installation and configuration of RHEL 4.x/5.x/6.x/7.1 and SLES 10/11/12.
  • Experience in server builds, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Strong knowledge of LDAP and DNS server administration.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and hardware support.
