About the position

The Linux System Administrator role at TEKsystems involves supporting the design, integration, implementation, and maintenance of user information systems. This position requires a strong background in Linux server management, particularly with Ubuntu, and necessitates an active Secret clearance. The role is fully on-site in Atlanta, Georgia, and focuses on providing technical support and ensuring the operational efficiency of departmental servers and systems.

Responsibilities

• Support intermediate level design, integration, implementation, and modification of assigned user information systems.
• Coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems.
• Provide functional and technical expertise in support of user systems operation and maintenance.
• Conduct needs analysis, planning, and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware/software.
• Develop functional and technical IT system requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical support through allocating systems resources, managing accounts, administering passwords, and documentation.
• Monitor and report on system performance.
• Maintain hardware and software inventories and develop departmental software license management policy.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Experience working with Linux servers, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration.
• Experience with administrative support for Ubuntu.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 4+ years of job-related experience.
