About the position

The Linux System Administrator will play a crucial role in modernizing software platforms for law enforcement. This position involves ensuring the functionality and availability of the current infrastructure, implementing improvements using the latest technology, and managing critical system updates and patches. The role requires strong technical expertise to monitor performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with team members and customers. This position also offers an opportunity to gain experience in Cloud technologies while working collaboratively to solve daily challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available.
  • Look for ways to improve the infrastructure using the latest technology.
  • Update and patch critical systems.
  • Help customers overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management.
  • Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
  • Monitor uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computer platform.

Requirements

  • Experience with RHEL 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in a Windows-centric Active Directory integration.
  • Linux Configuration skills with STIGS, SRGs, BBPs, and TTPs.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform and associated tools.
  • Ability to coordinate with a technical team to troubleshoot issues.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in an information technology professional project environment or 14+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
