About the position

ISPN is seeking an experienced Linux Server Administrator to join their team in Lenexa, KS. This role involves managing approximately 100 Linux servers that provide critical services such as DNS, DHCP, and email to ISPs across the USA. The position offers the flexibility to work from home on scheduled days and requires collaboration with a small team to ensure the smooth operation of server systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade servers independently and collaboratively.
• Collaborate with partners and end-users via video conference, email, and verbally.
• Work with Server Administrators, developers, and engineers to design, build, and maintain systems and applications.
• Resolve escalations and service tickets from internal and external parties.
• Respond to and monitor alarms from monitoring systems.
• Troubleshoot data and client issues.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.

Requirements

• 3 years of work experience as a Linux Server Administrator.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting email clients.
• Experience managing or troubleshooting DNS.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting DHCP.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with RedHat, CentOS, Alma Linux or derivatives.
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers.
• Experience administering Apache, ProFTPd, FreeRADIUS, ISC BIND, ISC DHCP, Postfix, and Cyrus-IMAP.
• Experience using MySQL, MariaDB, or similar relational databases.
• Experience using VMware, Proxmox, or similar hypervisors.
