About the position

The Systems Administrator position at Lockheed Martin's Spectrum Convergence involves providing support for various IT systems in an agile scrum environment. The role requires the candidate to relocate to Guam for 6-12 months and attend a month-long training in either King of Prussia, PA or Littleton, CO. The position focuses on managing IT systems, ensuring security against cyber threats, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems in an agile scrum environment.
• Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Patch and harden Linux RedHat OS and collaborate with security personnel to protect against cyber threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 2 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with no professional experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Advanced professional experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience in software practices and configuration management.
• Scripting experience with Ansible and Bash.

Nice-to-haves

• RedHat OS patching/hardening experience.
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Ansible Tower / AWX.
• Computer networking experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment.
• Agile development experience.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Linux Certifications (CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE).
• Experience with cloud migrations and CI/CD tools.
