About the position

Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator with an active TS/SCI and Polygraph to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The role involves managing IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring day-to-day operations, and providing expert support in problem identification and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations and monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Configure and manage Virtual Environments, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
• Install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
• Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Administer software on systems and integrate them in a Linux environment.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• BS in a technical discipline and 15+ years of System Administration experience OR 20+ years of Systems Administration experience without a BS in a technical discipline
• Linux experience (Red Hat Linux 7/8)
• Experience creating server certificates
