About the position

The Linux Systems Administrator role at Leidos involves maintaining and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems for a federal law enforcement agency. The administrator will be responsible for system uptime, performance, and security, while also contributing to software change management and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.
• Ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security of managed computers meet user needs.
• Maintain database systems and ensure data integrity and system performance.
• Maintain network infrastructure, diagnose problems with network-attached computers.
• Administer security devices and consult on general security measures.
• Maintain web server services and manage multiple sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of computer systems.
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions.
• Strong communication skills.
• US Citizenship.
