About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Security professional to join their Rotary Mission Systems Cyber & Intelligence team. This role focuses on protecting critical IT systems and networks that support essential services such as financial assets, healthcare information, and critical infrastructure. The position involves providing full lifecycle support for IT systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user assistance, while working in a fast-paced environment alongside cybersecurity experts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers regarding escalated issues.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management for escalated tickets.
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage Linux operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five years of additional Systems Administrator experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ten years of experience as a Systems Administrator in similar programs and contracts.
• Experience with Linux system administration, including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere is beneficial.
• Ansible experience is preferred.
• Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SP.
