About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program. This role involves working with a team to manage configurations, automate deployments, and provide technical support, all in a fully virtual environment accessible from anywhere in the continental US.

Responsibilities

• Review and define configurations
• Create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets
• Review and deploy software applications
• Support testing and demonstration
• Provide support for troubleshooting
• Patching
• Hardening
• Configuration management
• Participate in and provide expertise for technical interchange meetings

Requirements

• Must currently possess 8570 IAT-II certifications (or higher) - baseline (ex. Security ) and CE (ex. Linux)
• BS degree with 4 years' experience or equivalent experience
• Linux Administration (RHEL 7/8)
