About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the Department of Defense's High Performance Computing Modernization Program. This fully remote position involves collaborating with a team of engineers to manage configurations, automate deployments, and provide technical support for various applications and systems. The role requires flexibility in problem-solving and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies while addressing customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Review and define configurations
• Create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets
• Review and deploy software applications
• Support testing and demonstration
• Provide support for troubleshooting
• Perform patching
• Conduct hardening
• Manage configuration
• Participate in technical interchange meetings and provide expertise

Requirements

• Must currently possess 8570 IAT-II certifications (or higher) - baseline (ex. Security ) and CE (ex. Linux)
• BS degree with 4 years' experience or equivalent experience
• Linux Administration (RHEL 7/8)
• Bash Scripting and process automation
• Direct experience with Apache Web Server and Apache Tomcat
• LAMP web services software stack
• PKI Authentication
• SSL Certificate Management
• DoD System Admin Experience (STIGs, RMF, etc.)
• Kickstarts
• Oracle Database

• Zabbix
• Radix/eMASS (or similar scanning tools)
• GitLab Administration
