About the position

We're looking for a Cross Domain Specialist to help us design, deploy, and maintain Cross Domain Solutions for an enterprise environment. As a Linux System Administrator on our project, you'll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You'll provide your customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve cross-domain.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Cross Domain Solutions for an enterprise environment.
  • Improve infrastructure using the latest technology and best implementation strategies.
  • Provide insight into network through monitoring and performance management.
  • Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
  • Turn metrics into information and explain their meaning to the team.
  • Share expertise through leadership and mentoring.
  • Identify new opportunities to modernize the network.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with systems administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS.
  • Experience managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi.
  • Knowledge of Linux firewalls, networking configuration, and DNS.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification within 60 days of start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience managing systems using Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Experience programming in Python.
  • Knowledge of bi-directional network transfer systems.
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification.
