About the position

The Linux Systems Administrator at Planned Systems International (PSI) will play a crucial role in supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) by maintaining and managing the Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) networks. This position involves working in a collaborative environment to ensure the security and stability of enterprise-level solutions, while also providing technical support and solutions to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform Red Hat, Ubuntu, and CentOS LINUX command level administration.
• Troubleshoot associated hardware/software including Dell, HP, Pivot3, VMWare, and Citrix.
• Create, track, and resolve escalated service desk action items.
• Maintain the security and stability of cross-domain enterprise-level solutions.
• Provide detailed technical solutions and support.
• Build, install, move, and break down systems on-site or remotely.
• Create detailed technical reports and metrics.
• Interact with customers and support personnel at on/off-site data centers.
• Familiarize with Linux audit and reporting tasks.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Hands-on experience with UNIX/LINUX in an Enterprise environment.
• Enterprise management experience including LDAP, Configuration Management Tools, DNS, Repo, Backups, and Log management.
• Experience with Ansible Playbook.
• Troubleshooting experience in an Enterprise environment.
• Networking experience including Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Data Center experience.
• Shell Scripting experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Responsive Service Desk experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
