About the position

The Linux Systems Administrator at ProSphere Tek will play a vital role in supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) by maintaining and managing the Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program's networks. This position requires expertise in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting, ensuring the security and stability of enterprise-level solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform command level administration of Red Hat, Ubuntu, and CentOS Linux systems.
• Troubleshoot associated hardware and software, including Dell, HP, Pivot3, VMWare, and Citrix.
• Create, track, and resolve escalated service desk action items.
• Maintain the security and stability of cross-domain enterprise-level solutions.
• Provide detailed technical solutions and support.
• Build, install, move, and break down systems on-site or remotely.
• Create detailed technical reports and metrics.
• Interact with customers and support personnel at on/off-site data centers.
• Familiarize with Linux audit and reporting tasks.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux in an enterprise environment.
• Enterprise management experience including LDAP, Configuration Management Tools, DNS, Repo, Backups, and Log management.
• Experience with Ansible Playbook.
• Troubleshooting experience in an enterprise setting.
• Networking experience including Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Data Center experience.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Responsive service desk experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
