At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a qualified Linux Systems Administrator to join our Classified Solutions team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This position is critical to maintaining the efficient operations of our IT infrastructure, which includes desktops and Linux servers, as part of a large classified government contract. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple networks and ensuring that necessary IT administration tasks are completed effectively. This role requires a strong commitment to security and compliance, as the candidate will assist with maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Cyber Security team. The Linux Systems Administrator will also play a key role in testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact. This includes developing and maintaining technical processes and procedures as needed. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to report project status for all recurring and non-recurring efforts. Given the classified nature of this role, the selected candidate must work on-site full-time and will not have the option for remote work. Candidates must possess a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance and polygraph, and they must be able to maintain this clearance as a condition of continued employment. The role also requires the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and may involve after-hours and weekend work as needed.
