SEACORP's Information Technology business area is seeking a well-qualified Linux Systems Administrator to join their team. The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the Linux environment within the company network, which consists of a mixed Linux/Windows environment of physical and virtual servers, including those hosted on Azure, as well as Network Storage file servers. All systems are interconnected through a high-speed LAN or wireless network. The primary goal of this role is to set up, configure, and support active end users and the servers that interact with these systems, primarily through applications or interactively via SSH, VNC, or ETX. In this position, the Linux Systems Administrator will work with essential network services such as DNS, NFS, DHCP, and directory services. A significant aspect of the role involves improving the environment through automation using tools like Python and Ansible. The administrator will be responsible for applying security patches and configuration changes during maintenance windows, responding to high-level incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, the role requires managing and maintaining Linux servers to ensure system security, performance, and reliability. The Linux Systems Administrator will also identify and implement automation and process improvements to keep pace with industry trends, create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, and collaborate closely with other teams to achieve common goals, fostering a collaborative work environment.
