About the position

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage Linux systems across various technical areas.
  • Configure and troubleshoot networking protocols and setups.
  • Manage storage technologies and filesystems effectively.
  • Install and configure applications, ensuring security measures are in place.
  • Oversee virtualization environments and manage virtual machines.
  • Administer databases, particularly MySQL/MariaDB, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Manage containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols including TCP, UDP, and Ping.
  • Experience with Netplan and NetworkManager for network configurations.
  • Advanced skills in iptables for firewall management.
  • Familiarity with storage technologies like HDD, SSD, NVMe, LVM, RAID, and NFS.
  • Proficient in navigating Linux filesystems and managing permissions.
  • Ability to install and configure applications including Apache, PHP, and MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and managing libvirt VMs.
  • Proficient in container management using Docker or Podman.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2-3 years of additional experience as a Linux System Administrator.
