About the position

TEKsystems is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support a government client at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. This mid-level position requires a Top Secret Clearance and 8570 compliance (e.g., Security+ce). The role involves managing Linux systems in a DoD environment, specifically supporting middleware and database/web servers for NAVO's OCEANS Network on NIPR and SIPR.

Responsibilities

• Support Linux-based middleware and database/web servers.
• Sustain JBoss EAP 7.X or later.
• Sustain, configure, and secure Apache 2.4.
• Sustain, configure, and secure ESRI ArcGIS Server 10.9.X or later on Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
• Sustain, configure, and secure IIS Web Server on Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
• Perform STIG required log analysis and usage metrics.
• Document cybersecurity measures and perform quarterly STIG updates and associated remediation.

Requirements

• Active T5 investigation and meet 8570 compliance (Security+ce).
• Experience in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, etc.).
• Web server experience (JBOSS/Apache/Windows ISS).
• General PostgreSQL support.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced scripting (e.g., Bash).
• Experience with Ansible or Puppet.
• Familiarity with Elastic Stack.
• Comfortable performing administration on Windows servers hosting ESRI ArcGIS.
