About the position
As a Linux Systems Consultant at NavitsPartners, you will play a crucial role in providing expert consulting and problem-solving for Linux system operations. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the installation and maintenance of Linux systems, ensuring that they are configured to meet the specific needs of users. This includes supporting various Linux applications with a strong emphasis on software distribution, licensing, and system backups. You will also be tasked with modifying system software to enhance performance or to address any errors that may arise during operation. In addition to installation and maintenance, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues on Linux servers that run various distributions, including Ubuntu and Red Hat. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that these systems operate smoothly and efficiently. You will also need to demonstrate experience with MS Hyper-V and VMware, as these platforms are integral to the systems you will be managing. Your role will require a solid understanding of security frameworks to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the systems you oversee. Flexibility to travel for client support as required is a key aspect of this position, as you may need to provide on-site assistance to clients to resolve complex issues or to implement new systems. Your ability to adapt to different environments and client needs will be critical to your success in this role.
