About the position

The Linux/Unix Production Support role is a contract position focused on providing technical support for production systems using UNIX/Linux environments. Responsibilities

• Provide production support for UNIX/Linux systems.

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of practical experience in production support or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with relational databases like Sybase, DB2, SQL, or Postgres.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an engineering field.
• Prior experience in the financial industry.
• Familiarity with SRE principles and practices.
• Exposure to modern observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
