About the position

The Liquor Store Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. This position involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The Assistant Manager will assist the General Managers in various operational tasks, including sales, store maintenance, and cash accounting, while also providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage store activities during assigned shifts.
  • Participate in sales activities including receiving shipments and stocking products.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a clean and safe store environment.
  • Assign and inspect the work of Liquor Store employees.
  • Instruct employees on the proper application of policies and procedures.
  • Assist General Managers with store operations, including sales and maintenance.

Requirements

  • One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or one year of lead retail sales work.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
