About the position
The Liquor Store Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supervising and managing the operations of state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. This position involves overseeing store activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Assistant Manager will work closely with General Managers and staff to enhance the store's performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage store activities during shifts.
- Participate in sales activities including receiving shipments and stocking products.
- Provide excellent customer service in a clean and safe store environment.
- Assign and inspect the work of Liquor Store employees.
- Instruct employees on the proper application of policies and procedures.
- Assist General Managers with store operations, including sales and cash accounting.
Requirements
- One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or
- One year of lead retail sales work.
- Must meet PA residency requirement.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
