About the position

The Liquor Store Associate is responsible for enhancing customer confidence and loyalty through courteous service, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a friendly shopping atmosphere. This role involves compliance with alcohol sales regulations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized.

Responsibilities

• Observe customers and check identification for age verification.
• Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
• Provide continuous attention to customers' needs and greet them in a friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions to customers when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
• Operate department equipment and cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• High standard of integrity and reliability.
• Basic computer skills required for online training.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
