The role includes routine duties such as ringing sales, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and providing on-the-job training to other employees. The position requires a blend of leadership and hands-on responsibilities, with guidance from management for unusual circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Lead a shift in a liquor store and oversee the work of lower-level clerks.
- Engage in customer service and assist customers with inquiries.
- Ring sales on a cash register and manage cash transactions.
- Unload shipments and stock shelves as needed.
- Build displays and maintain store cleanliness.
- Provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies.
- Assign and review the work of lower-level store clerks.
- Complete accounting and inventory reports for the shift.
- Oversee cash management issues during the shift.
- Resolve customer service and product-related issues.
Requirements
- Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles).
- Six months of retail sales work.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
