The Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Sales Team Lead) position involves leading a shift in a PLCB liquor store, overseeing the work of lower-level clerks, and ensuring outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role includes routine duties such as ringing sales, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and providing on-the-job training to other employees. The position requires a focus on customer engagement and adherence to store policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead a shift in a liquor store and oversee the work of lower-level clerks.
- Engage in customer service and assist customers with their needs.
- Ring sales on a cash register and manage cash transactions.
- Unload shipments and stock shelves as needed.
- Build displays and maintain cleanliness in the store.
- Provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies.
- Assign and review the work of lower-level store clerks.
- Complete accounting and inventory reports for the shift.
- Oversee cash management issues during the shift.
- Resolve customer service and product-related issues.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED).
- Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk, or six months of retail sales work.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
