About the position

The Liquor Store General Manager 3A is responsible for overseeing the operations of state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role involves managing staff, implementing policies, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store operations, including sales and inventory management. The position aims to promote responsible alcohol sales and education while maximizing financial returns for the state.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, manage, and direct activities in the liquor store.
• Implement and apply policies and procedures to store operations.
• Assign and evaluate work for store staff.
• Promote good customer relations and service.
• Accountable for sales, store maintenance, merchandise, and cash accounting.
• Maintain records and oversee all related functions of the store.

Requirements

• One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B; or
• Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A; or
• Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B; or
• Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; or
• Five years of supervisory retail sales work.
• Must meet PA residency requirements.
• Must pass a background investigation.
