About the position

The Liquor Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the liquor department, ensuring compliance with operating standards, and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. This role involves managing inventory, merchandising, and financial aspects while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The manager will also supervise and train team members, ensuring they provide knowledgeable and courteous service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the liquor department.
• Promote and execute consistent and compliant operating conditions.
• Provide fresh and appealing products and excellent customer service.
• Execute merchandising plans and maintain product levels according to standards.
• Monitor and control supply expenses and manage cash control and sales records.
• Supervise, train, and develop team members, providing coaching as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers to enhance their confidence and loyalty.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and communicate effectively.
• Complete daily and weekly administrative tasks, including scheduling and pricing changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and food handling practices.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Proficient with computer applications used in operating the department.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous assistant manager experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
