About the position

The LIS Applications Analyst plays a crucial role in the Central Laboratory's Management Information Services at Alverno Laboratories. This position is based in Hammond, IN, and operates on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, specifically during the day shift from Monday to Friday. The primary responsibility of the Applications Analyst is to implement, maintain, and support the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other software products that are essential for the operation of Alverno Clinical Laboratories, LLC and Alverno Provena Hospital Labs. In this role, the Applications Analyst will conduct a thorough analysis of the current functionalities of the LIS, identifying both unused and new components that can enhance the system's performance. The individual will be tasked with the implementation, validation, support, and ongoing maintenance of the LIS, ensuring that it meets the needs of the laboratory and its partners. This includes maintaining and validating the LIS components of all partner hospital information systems and the Physician Office Systems owned by SSFHS as necessary. Moreover, the Applications Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining the necessary procedures and documentation required for compliance with regulatory agencies. This position is not only technical but also emphasizes the importance of creating a healing environment for both employees and patients, reflecting the values of caring and concern that are integral to the philosophy of the supporting Catholic Health Ministries. Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and support the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other software products.
