About the position

The Litigation Administrative Assistant at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP plays a crucial role in providing high-level legal and administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals within the Litigation and Corporate teams. This position involves managing attorney caseloads, maintaining calendars, and facilitating communication with clients, while also preparing and finalizing legal documents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level legal and administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and make travel arrangements.
  • Process monthly expense reports.
  • Prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Communicate with clients as necessary.
  • Run conflict checks and open new client/matter engagements.
  • Maintain electronic files and set up billing requirements for clients.
  • Assist with billing and client invoices.
  • Handle other clerical assignments as delegated.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong command of technology and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Experience with document management systems, billing software, and electronic docket filing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Corporate legal experience is a bonus.
