About the position

The Litigation Associate Attorney will join an international law firm specializing in class-action and complex plaintiffs' litigation. This role involves investigating potential new cases, conducting civil discovery, and preparing legal documents, with a focus on collaboration and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and vet potential new cases for technical and legal issues
  • Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of all facts in assigned cases
  • Review, summarize, and highlight evidence gathered from documents
  • Research legal facts and regulations for new cases
  • Conduct all phases of civil discovery, including drafting written discovery and preparing for depositions
  • Draft briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
  • Prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions
  • Identify and work with experts
  • Select and prepare expert witnesses

Requirements

  • Active license and good standing in California
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong academic and employment credentials, with federal law clerk experience preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Superior writing, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Results-oriented, self-starter with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Hourly pay ranging from $57.69 to $86.54 depending on experience
