About the position

CMPR is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney specializing in employment litigation. The role involves representing clients in civil litigation, particularly in wage and hour Class and PAGA lawsuits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case analysis, pleadings preparation, and trial preparation, contributing to the firm's commitment to client-focused service and excellent results.

Responsibilities

• Defend wage and hour Class and PAGA lawsuits.
• Conduct case review and analysis of relevant law.
• Prepare pleadings and written discovery.
• Attend depositions and evaluate liability and damages for Class and PAGA claims.
• Prepare for trial, mediation, and arbitration.
• Argue law and motion matters.

Requirements

• At least four years of relevant experience in employment litigation.
• Experience with commercial litigation is helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed by the California State Bar.
