As a Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury and Transportation Defense, you will manage all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation to trial preparation. Your role will involve conducting depositions, participating in trials, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will also be responsible for drafting legal motions, preparing briefs, and conducting thorough legal research to support case strategies. Collaboration with senior attorneys and support staff is essential to ensure efficient case management, and you will develop tailored litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation involving personal injury and transportation defense cases, including initial case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Conduct precise and strategic depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts, particularly in the areas of personal injury and transportation defense.
- Actively participate in trials, presenting cases in court, cross-examining witnesses, and delivering opening and closing arguments, with a focus on personal injury and transportation defense.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering regular updates and strategic advice throughout the litigation process, particularly in personal injury and transportation defense matters.
- Draft and respond to legal motions, prepare briefs, and conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies in personal injury and transportation defense cases.
- Work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective management of personal injury and transportation defense cases.
- Develop and implement tailored litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients, especially in personal injury and transportation defense.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
- 2-10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury and transportation defense, particularly within insurance defense litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and substantive law.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
- Experience with depositions, trials, and full case management from inception to completion in personal injury and transportation defense cases.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
