The Brooks Law Group is seeking a Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join our team. This role is crucial in helping our law firm advance its mission of being the voice and lifeline to the injured and exploited. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, highly organized, and capable of managing a varied caseload while self-managing their time and attention to clients and cases. The position requires strong leadership skills to develop support staff and a dedication to achieving the best outcomes for all parties involved. Candidates should possess empowering communication and interpersonal skills, be punctual, coachable, and a team player willing to go the extra mile. A Florida Bar License and a minimum of 5 years of litigation and trial personal injury law experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day handling of a full caseload with pre-suit and litigation files
- Managing and providing training as needed to support staff
- Drafting and filing litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Screening potential clients
- Investigating claims and gathering evidence
- Documenting injuries and expenses
- Calculating damages
- Interviewing witnesses
- Reviewing medical documents
- Representing clients through trial
- Counseling clients throughout the entire claims process
- Attending and preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Requirements
- Florida Bar License
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation and trial personal injury law experience
- Strong dedication to the best outcome for all parties
- Ability to self-manage time and attention to clients and cases
- Ability to lead and develop support staff

- Punctual and coachable
