Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers across various litigation practice areas
  • E-File documents in State and Federal Court
  • Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and presentations
  • Manage and organize case files, maintain calendars, and schedule appointments and meetings
  • Coordinate with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal reports as required
  • Assist in the preparation of court filings and ensure timely submissions
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage expense reports for attorneys

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role within a law firm
  • Proficiency in law firm administrative work is essential
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal research software
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and external agencies
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and practice areas
  • High School Diploma or GED required
