About the position

The Litigation Paralegal will support the legal team at Miracle Mile Law Group, a plaintiff-side employment law firm, by managing various litigation tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes, including drafting documents, managing court deadlines, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a passion for advocating for clients in employment-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Propounding and responding to discovery
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and complaints
• Calendaring and managing court deadlines
• Reserving court hearings and depositions
• Preparing documents for filing with the state and federal court
• Document retrieval and review
• Assisting with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits
• Contacting court clerk for information as needed
• Issuing subpoenas and notices

Requirements

• 2-10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal required
• Experience propounding and responding to written discovery
• Knowledge of Federal, California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Great time management and multi-tasking skills
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
• Type at least 60 WPM
