In this role, you will collaborate with a top rainmaker and be an integral part of the litigation process from the onset of cases through to post-trial activities. You will be expected to attend trials and contribute to significant legal achievements, making your role vital to the success of the team. Your responsibilities will include managing calendaring requirements, overseeing the utilization of documents and case-related materials, and ensuring that work areas and case rooms are client-presentable and efficient. You will support the discovery process by preparing for depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, and preparing for expert discovery. Familiarity with tools such as Relativity, Concordance, and Summation is essential. Additionally, you will conduct document reviews, prepare documentation regarding criteria changes, and track and report on review progress and results. Your role will also involve preparing witness interview memoranda, summarizing documents, depositions, and court transcripts, and creating substantive coding tools. You will assemble motion papers and exhibits, coordinate filings of pleadings and briefs, and perform both simple and complex cite checking and proofreading of legal documents. Furthermore, you will assist with trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and maintaining trial calendars.
