As a Bankruptcy Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys in commercial bankruptcy cases, particularly in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 restructuring practices. Your responsibilities will include preparing legal documents, establishing and updating electronic case filings, and streamlining the discovery process using tools like Relativity and other trial presentation software. You will also conduct legal research using various platforms, including BestCase, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and PACER. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and strong time-management skills to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in commercial bankruptcy in chapter 7 and restructuring practice involving chapter 11 cases as well as related litigation.
  • Prepare legal documents.
  • Establish and update electronic case filings.
  • Streamline discovery process in Relativity and other trial presentation software.
  • Conduct legal research in BestCase and other platforms such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, etc.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal required.
  • Experience in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy required.
  • Experience in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy preferred.
