About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Roseville office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in construction defect and/or insurance defense. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and managing case files. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and prepare for trials and hearings. Proficiency in legal research and writing is essential, as well as strong drafting skills for pleadings, discovery, and motions. The position demands excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and information effectively. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, are required, and experience with Lexis Form Builder is highly preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all aspects of litigation including legal research, drafting pleadings, and managing case files.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
• Manage large volumes of documents and information efficiently.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and prepare for trials and hearings.
• Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Assist in trial preparation and organization of exhibits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with a focus on construction defect and/or insurance defense.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing, with strong drafting skills for pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and information.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience with Lexis Form Builder is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
