About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case preparation to trial. This role requires strong research skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our legal practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
  • Manage legal case files using iManage or similar legal case management software.
  • Review and proofread documents for accuracy, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, witnesses, and experts while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files for easy access by attorneys.
  • Collaborate with team members on project management tasks to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm.
  • Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures is essential.
  • Proficiency in legal research techniques and tools such as LexisNexis.
  • Experience with document review processes and maintaining organized case files.
  • Strong clerical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with project management is a plus.
