About the position

As a Litigation Paralegal in the Employment Class Action department at Wilshire Law Firm, you will play a crucial role in advocating for clients' rights in various employment-related cases. The firm, established in 2007, specializes in Personal Injury, Employee Rights, and Consumer Class Action cases. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, particularly in cases involving overtime wage violations, employee misclassification, time-shaving, and failure to provide meal and rest breaks. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our clients receive the justice they deserve by meticulously managing case files and preparing necessary documentation for court proceedings. In this position, you will be tasked with propounding and responding to discovery requests, maintaining organized case files, and assisting in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and citation checking of legal documents. You will also manage and calendar court deadlines, ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and on time in both state and federal courts. Effective communication will be key, as you will be required to interact professionally with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the litigation process. This role demands a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail, as you will be handling sensitive information and complex legal documents. You will need to be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and case management.
