About the position

The Litigation Paralegal will support lawyers in the Litigation Department by managing various aspects of case preparation and documentation. This role involves organizing court materials, drafting legal documents, and coordinating discovery processes, all while ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers in all aspects of the Litigation Department's caseloads.
• Organize and maintain court materials.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and discovery communications with minimal supervision.
• Manage docket, matter dates, and deadlines.
• Abstract and prepare legal documents.
• Coordinate deposition, hearing, motion, and trial preparation.
• Assist with and coordinate the paper and electronic discovery process.
• Identify potentially relevant electronically stored information.
• Draft and issue legal hold notices.
• Coordinate with clients to identify, preserve, and collect relevant sources of discovery.
• Assist with processing, reviewing, and coding discovery materials.

Requirements

• 4+ years of law firm litigation paralegal experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to electronically file pleadings and Pacer.
• A college degree and/or paralegal certificate are required.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Relativity experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of iManage is a plus.
