About the position

Wilshire Law Firm, established in 2007, is an award-winning firm specializing in Personal Injury, Employee Rights, and Consumer Class Action cases. As a Litigation Paralegal in our Personal Injury department, you will have the opportunity to advocate for our clients' interests, often in catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), wrongful death, and major orthopedic cases. This role is crucial in supporting our attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible representation. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the litigation process. You will support our attorneys by propounding and responding to discovery, maintaining organized case files, and assisting in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling documents. Additionally, you will manage and calendar court deadlines, prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts, and communicate professionally with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital in ensuring that all aspects of the case are handled efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support our attorneys in all phases of litigation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to act independently and in a team-based environment
  • Knowledge of e-Filing and California rules
  • Familiarity with California discovery rules
  • Type at least 40 wpm
  • Confident in a paperless work environment
