Orion Placement is seeking a Litigation Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury to join our established and growing Chicago-based plaintiff personal injury firm. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in personal injury and litigation, demonstrating a solid understanding of the legal processes involved in these areas. The role requires a proactive approach to managing case files and client communications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and organized efficiently. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the success of our cases. This includes requesting and reviewing medical records and bills, summarizing medical information, and compiling comprehensive medical summaries for our attorneys. You will also perform essential administrative duties such as managing calendar deadlines, organizing case files, drafting legal documents, and sending cease and desist letters. Effective communication with clients regarding their treatment and case statuses is vital, as is liaising with lienholders to negotiate lien balance reductions. In addition to these responsibilities, you will compose and send demand letters and answer written discovery for underinsured and uninsured motorist cases. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are preferred but not mandatory.
