We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with over 5 years of experience to support our trial team in our personal injury practice. The paralegal will be responsible for maintaining accurate case files, ensuring compliance with all court requirements for each case, and serving as a reliable advocate for our growing list of clients. This role requires a strong emphasis on drafting court-ready state and federal motions and filings quickly and with meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a high volume docket and maintaining a flawless litigation calendar, including discovery deadlines, hearings, and appointments. The Litigation Paralegal will also be responsible for e-filing state and federal pleadings and motions, documenting and organizing files for trial, and maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with clients. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, and experience with cloud-based client management software is a plus. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to produce high-quality work with minimal errors. Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Draft court-ready state and federal motions and filings quickly and with attention to detail.
  • Maintain the litigation calendar, including discovery deadlines, hearings, and appointments.
  • Organize and manage a high volume docket daily.
  • E-file state and federal pleadings and motions.
  • Document, organize, and prepare files for trial.
  • Interact professionally with clients.
  • Maintain the office file system.
  • Perform scanning, faxing, and emailing tasks.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher and/or Paralegal certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a litigation department.
  • Experience with federal and state e-filing.
  • Ability to calculate and calendar deadlines by interpreting local state and federal rules.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in work output.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
  • Experience with cloud-based client management software is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish (not required).
  • Experience in personal injury law.
