Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the litigation team.
  • Manage attorneys' caseloads by maintaining calendars and docketing case-related deadlines.
  • Coordinate conference calls and manage travel arrangements for attorneys.
  • Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Handle daily electronic and hard copy document management.
  • Schedule depositions and client meetings, and assist with trial preparations.
  • Run conflict checks and open new client/matter engagements.
  • Set up billing requirements for clients and input attorney time using timekeeping software.
  • Maintain and update contacts, assist with billing/client invoices, and perform other clerical tasks as delegated.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm.
  • Familiarity with South Carolina court rules and procedures.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite products.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and communication.
