About the position

Setliff Law, PC, an AV rated law firm located in Glen Allen, VA, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to provide support to multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent verbal and mathematical abilities. A solid understanding of the court system is essential, along with some trial experience. The role requires the ability to multi-task effectively and work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Candidates should be personable and adaptable, as some travel may be necessary for the position. This demanding role will require the candidate to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. The starting salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience. Responsibilities

  • Support multiple attorneys in litigation cases
  • Manage case files and documentation
  • Assist in trial preparation and organization
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources
  • Prepare and file legal documents with the court
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace
  • Coordinate schedules and manage deadlines
  • Assist in the discovery process and document review
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (preferred)
  • 2 years of paralegal experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of litigation experience (required)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of the court system
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Personable demeanor and strong communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with trial preparation
  • Familiarity with legal research tools like Westlaw
