Responsibilities

• Drafting and managing correspondence and legal documents.
• Handling court filings and scheduling depositions, mediations, meetings, and hearings.
• Organizing emails, litigation files, and attorneys' calendars.
• Operating a multi-line phone system and managing communications professionally.
• Managing multiple litigation cases and collaborating with attorneys daily.
• Conducting legal research, particularly in Florida civil procedure and first-party property law.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files.
• Communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, and vendors.
• Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
• Taking initiative to anticipate the needs of attorneys and staff.
• Adhering to legal requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or extensive law firm experience.
• Paralegal experience and/or degree.
• Previous litigation experience managing a caseload and e-filing.
• Familiarity with Florida civil procedure and first-party property law.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including typing, writing, proofreading, and grammar.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
